Yesterday was the 9 months assessment for Kristy. The assessment includes - hearing test;
- eye test;
- hands coordination - changing the small wooden block she's holding in one hand to the other hand;
- checking if she can sit without support;
- checking if she can be pulled up to standing position and
- normal checkup procedures - weight 9.7kg (90 percentile), height 74cm (75 percentile), head circumference 44cm.
I was wondering if her weight would touch the 10kg mark before we went for the assessment. Keke. And my guess for the height was around there. I guessed 73cm. :p Her head circumference remains unchanged as of 6 months old. The nurse said she can start to eat hard-boiled egg and her MMR appointment will be 4th July (Independence Day! :p) 2006. That will be when she's 15mths old. Woah! |

Kristy turns 9 months old today, which is also the eve of the New Year's Day. In this month, she had learnt - to cruise around - holding on to sofa, tables, chairs, etc;
- to stand unassisted for a few secs (last night she managed to stand for like 10 secs!). Porpor commented that she might be like her 舅舅, can start to walk with assist;
- to walk for short distance with the use of Tomy walker or the Toyogo toy box;
- to say "Apple", "mom-mom", "bu-bu", "pa" - but all these carry no particular meanings;
- to understand the meaning of "see". She will look at the direction when I pointed at a direction and said "see".
- to understand the meaning of "give". I tried to say "Kristy, give mummy." when she's holding on to an item, Sometimes she will hand it to me but sometimes she will fake it by extending out her hands and then retract back. Haha. Cheeky

She had been very "gei kiang" recently. She will let go of whatever she's holding on to support her. Then she will stand unassisted for a few seconds. But clever her will quickly hold on to the support to prevent herself from falling onto her backside. :p |

Kristy has been saying "Apple" recently. But we don't know what she meant. Haha. It's definitely not referring to the real Apple. :p She had also been uttering "mom-mom" before that but it also doesn't have any meaning because she "mom-mom" @ everything. -_-" |

Kristy had a slight fever last night. Ear temperature was 37.2°C whereas forehead temperature was 38.2°C. Gave her panadol after her milk last night before she slept. This morning, her temperature is back to normal. Still not sure what caused the fever. Porpor was saying maybe the upper central incisors should be coming out soon too. Hmm.. |

Kristy had her 2nd Xmas celebration yesterday. It was a celebration with my colleagues. We had it at our house. We ordered the Holly Jolly Pizza Feast because we (Me, Kelly and Jean) were attracted to the picture of the Jolly pizza. But we felt cheated when we saw the pizza in real life. It looks ermm lifeless...hahaha. Jean also helped to order DIY popiahs and Kueh Pie Tee. It was nice! But too much already. |

Porpor said Kristy has started to climb up the platform at her house's relaxing corner. And she climbed up very fast. This means she is able to co-ordinate her legs and arms to climb obstacles. Heehee. Which will also be a problem for us adults. We now have be with her ALL the time just in case she climbs to don't where...hahaha

Kristy had her first Xmas celebration last Saturday with my group of poly kakis. Had wanted to dress her up in her pink Adidas pink tennis skirt but there was a loud thunder moments before we wanted to step out of the house. So had to change her to long pants instead. We had a high tea buffet at Swissotel Merchant Court. The food was ok lah but spread was not fantastic. No durian paste. :( Kristy was a bit cranky. Maybe all of us were eating and she had nothing. So I fed her some Gerber Fruit Puffs here and there but still not able to satisfy her. Must be sleepy. She was ok when my friends carry her. No strangers anxiety attack. Quite out-going. :p |

Recently Kristy is addicted to be carried frequently. If we did not heed to her request, she will start to shout and gradually turn to cry. It's like she's using her voice to threaten us. -_-" She doesn't even want to be on her walker nowadays, just want people to carry her. She will wail and run towards you and raise up her hands, indicating that she wants you to carry her. -_-" Her appetite is back again. So we gave her 2 feedings on porridge per day again. Back to a full bowl instead of half a bowl. At least she will be 饱饱. And this siao mother, me, had been thinking about her birthday party till I dreamt that I started to order her birthday cake now. Faintz~ -_-" |

I managed to coax Kristy last night to let me have a look at her lower gums. Finally! And I'm happy to say that I saw some whites protuding at her lower central incisors. Wonder when will they be out totally. :) That explains the very "mang zang" Kristy recently. No appetite to even eat her porridge so mother has to reduce her porridge intake to only afternoon and let Kristy eats wheat cereal in the evening instead. Hope she will be better soon and prays that there's no fever when the 2 lower central incisors are out. *happy Karen*

Kristy is 8 months old already. Fast. Must really treasure the time spent with her before she starts to grow up into a big lady in a blink of eyes. So what are the new milestones? |

Poor little Kristy got a flu from me. :( She starts to have running nose and sneezes quite often. She also keeps rubbing her nose. Brought her to see a PD last night. Doc said she's got the flu. Give her some medicine. Decided to leave her at mother's place last night so we can quarantine ourselves from Kristy. Ooo and I think we can see Kristy's "whites" very soon. She had been very cranky recently. She is also drooling lots too. And kept biting on the milk bottle teat. Must be very painful for her. |

Kristy's mother, aka ME, is finally back from holidays. Missed Kristy very much. Kristy gave us a surprise when we were back. She can sit up by herself from the crawling position. :p And she kept doing it. Crawl -> Sit up -> Crawl -> Sit up. Haha She was happy to see her too. Jumping up and down in her walker. So afraid that she will forget who we were. :p |
