Was playing around with Kristy and hubby last night on our bed. Kristy was having so much fun that she was laughing aloud with mouth wide opened. And then at this moment, I discovered something! I saw a new tooth!! It is the right upper lateral incisor!! Finally, after waiting for so long, the 5th tooth had appeared! Now we shall wait for the 6th tooth. :p |

Today will be the last class for her Kindermusik class. Time passes so fast. As usual, today we would be late today. :p As she woke up at 9.30am today and only managed to fall asleep for her nap at 12pm! I went to pack the bag first to prevent last minute rush. I told myself to wake her up at 1pm but before I could do it, she woke up by herself. I told hubby to put her on the potty for "shh-shh" while I quickly went to scoop out the porridge. As usual, it's the usual long feeding time as she just kept holding the food in her tiny little mouth till it made her looked like a tiny hamster. Had to double as an entertainer cum feeder. After the lunch, quickly pooed her but she didn't want, so quickly changed her and called a cab. We were out of the house at 1.55pm. And reached Tanglin Mall around 2.20pm. I asked hubby to take charge of the class for the start as he could walk much faster than me. :p I took over after a while. Today's class, I just let Kristy wandered around by herself except for the part where she was holding on to the bells. To prevent her from putting the bells into her mouth. At the end of the class, Ms Doreen distributed the Certificate of completion for "The Rhythm of The Day" class to all the kids. Kristy walked forward to retrieve the certificate. Managed to take a photo of that. But sorry folks, photos would only be updated later.
Also managed to take pictures of Kristy and Elvina hugging. But hor, after looking at the photos, Elvina was more like been hugged by Kristy leh. :p Ok, will update the photos tonight for you all to see. :p
In the evening, we went out for dinner with my parents. Not really to celebrate Mother's Day but more of a normal dinner outing together. We would celebrate Mother's Day cum my mother's ang moh and lunar birthday together on 20th May instead. We went to the newly opened zi char stall at the new Bukit Panjang CC @ Segar. Kristy was cranky during the meal so we took turns to carry her to walk around. When we left, my brother told me that, while he was with Kristy at the CC area, a little boy which is around the same age as Kristy, suddenly hugged her from the back. And Kristy expression was shocked! Too bad I missed that moment.:p Then I asked my brother why never say "非礼". Haha. |

Mother was complaining that Kristy's hair was getting so long that Kristy was getting irritated. She would keep scratching her head and ears and also rubbing her eyes as the hair would poke into her eyes or ears when the wind blows. So we decided to bring her down to Juniors League @ Suntec for her haircut after her lunch. When we reached there, I went to take a queue number as was advised by Wendy and Melissa. I was disappointed not to see the guy hair stylist there. I walked forward and asked the lady if the guy was here. And phew, she said he went for lunch and would be back soon. :p So we waited for him to be back and fed Kristy her tea break (150ml of milk). I asked hubby to bring Kristy around for a walk just in case she got restless. When they left shortly, the guy came back so I went to ask hubby to come back quickly. I was praying hard that Kristy would not have the same reactions during her first hair cut. And boy, did she surprised me. She was quite "well-behaved" throughout the entire session albeit with lots of leaning forward and backward actions. :p She was busy playing with the small lcd screen rather than watched the cartoon showing there. She kept pressing the buttons and swinged the lcd screen. She even played with the guy stylist. The whole session was done within a few minutes. A very big difference from her 1st hair cut.
Photos to be added later. |

Decided to try something new for Kristy's lunch. So I followed Katherine's instructions and prepared mashed potato. I bought the US potato from NTUC. I boiled 1 potato till soft. Then I added the butter and milk with the potato and mashed them together. When Kristy had the first spoon of the potato, I could sense that she didn't like it. Or maybe it was more of a case of not used to the potato as it was very different from the texture of the porridge that she normally ate everyday.
Towards the end of the feed with 1/4 remaining, she started to reject the potato. She would turn away or stick out her tongue to reject it. I tried ways and means to coax her to finish it but all failed. So I gave up. At least she managed to finish 3/4 of it which was already quite filling. I was already filling quite full when I tried half a potato. After this first try, I was asking myself whether to try it again. Maybe she is just not a "kantang" person. :p Will update photos later. |
